Environment sketch by MittMac Environment sketch by MittMac
Made for the Environment Design class at CDA (James Paick) in April 2013.
Not very happy with it, not so much depth towards the background and boring shapes of the objects. But maybe it can inspire some of you guys :)

I love the colours and how they are quite vibrant and saturated. The lighting is also very effective, casting glory on the already bright statue and illuminating the labyrinth. The perspective is quite engaging and blows up the foreground quite a bit, allowing the responder to view the entire scene and the rather interesting inclined posture of the light-facing statue. The textures on the mountains, particularly the ones on the right, are exceptional, though the labyrinth's textures are quite smooth, if not plain, providing a contrast to the mountainous detail. I feel like it should be the other way around, especially when it comes to the falling stone close-up, but, nevertheless, awesome work!
